Brian Fisher earned a BFA in dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts. After graduating, he spent the next decade in New York working with a variety of choreographers including Doug Varone, Rosalind Newman, and Igal Perry. Fisher also performed on Broadway in La Cage aux Folles. In 1992 he joined ODC Dance San Francisco where he danced for 15 years. He has performed as a guest artist for Bay Area choreographers Robert Moses, Sonya Delwaide, Sally Streets, and Amy Seiwert. Fisher also works with the Mark Foehringer Dance Project|SF and Sean Dorsey Dance. In 2002 he received an Isadora Duncan Dance Award. Fisher has taught contemporary technique for Berkeley Ballet Theater, Alonzo King Lines BFA program at Dominican University, and Teen Dance Company. He has also been a guest lecturer for the dance department at Stanford University. In addition to his work with SF Ballet School, Fisher is a faculty member of the ODC Teen Dance curriculum and the Conservatory for Contemporary Dance Arts in San Jose.
